Frequently asked

Answers, no detours.

The questions executives and investors ask us most. For the rest, a call beats a paragraph.

The firm

Is Prosilame a setup firm?

No. We are a law firm. Company setup is one of our services, handled with legal and tax logic, not as an administrative formality.

Do you act across the UAE?

Yes, with offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and a practice covering all seven emirates, the free zones and the DIFC and ADGM jurisdictions.

In which languages do you work?

French, English and Arabic.

Company & banking

Mainland or Freezone?

It depends on your clients, your flows and your tax position. We decide after diagnosis. A poorly chosen Freezone can block the local market or banking access.

Can you unfreeze a frozen account?

Yes, it is a frequent assignment. We rebuild the compliance file and deal directly with the bank.

Do you guarantee account opening?

The final decision rests with the bank. We guarantee the quality of the file and the management of the process.

Tax & residence

Does UAE Corporate Tax apply to me?

Very likely. The 9% rate applies above a threshold, with specific rules in free zones. Compliant accounting is now a prerequisite.

Does the Golden Visa make me non-resident for tax elsewhere?

Not automatically. Exit from your tax residence depends on your home country’s rules. We handle both sides.

Litigation & criminal

Can a commercial dispute turn criminal?

Yes, it is common in the UAE — a cheque or a debt can trigger criminal proceedings. An early defence is decisive.

Do you act in emergencies?

Yes. In criminal matters the first hours count. WhatsApp direct allows immediate responsiveness.

Engagement & fees

How does an engagement start?

With a 30-minute call, then a diagnosis. A written quote is issued before any engagement.

How do you set your fees?

On the value created and the risk avoided: fixed fee, success fee, capped hourly rate or retainer, depending on the matter.

Am I charged from the first call?

Yes. The 30-minute diagnostic call is a paid service in its own right, charged at AED 600 for individuals and AED 1,000 for professionals, payable before the call. It does not amount to a representation engagement, though: that only begins once a separate engagement letter is signed, with its own scope and fees.

Your question isn’t here?
